Her parents, however, have other plans and Grandma Betty's farm is just one of them.
Just as her life is in shambles and the quaint town is suffocating her, she meets Chase.
Somewhere in the mix of bummer summer and small town doldrums, he becomes the boy she can't seem to avoid falling for. Just adding him to the picture, her stay starts to get better, even if she knows it has to end with the summer holidays.
That is until Betty drops a life-shattering bomb.
Roxie must make a choice that will change her life forever. What happens when a spoiled brat from New York learns the true meaning of love, loss, and forgiveness?
Can Chase and Roxie find a way to be together or is this just another summer romance?

I'm posting this excerpt of the book, so you could all be teased by it! :)

“I think she will understand,” I said as I reached over and turned off the truck. As I leaned back my hand brushed his thigh, causing a sharp intake of breath from both of us. I looked at him and found his eyes staring at me hungrily.
“I don’t think...I can’t stay away from you Roxie,” he replied, his voice tense and strained.
“Then don’t,” I replied as I leaned towards him. I placed my hand on his arm and pulled his body closer to me. I lightly kissed him on his cheek, the stubble on his face scratching my lips gently. His smell intoxicated me, drawing me closer to him. Before I knew what was happening, he had his hand at the back of my neck, guiding my mouth to his.
When our lips met I thought my body would explode right there in the cab of his truck. A strange tingling sensation shot from my lips all the way to my toes, causing them to curl in upon themselves. It felt like he was lighting my entire body on fire. Our mouths worked together, our lips parting slightly to draw in a breath. When his tongue slipped between my lips I nearly fainted. The feel of him in my mouth caused a heat to stir in my stomach, the burn letting me know I was truly alive.
